Two Damages to Eat Strawberry
This is the season that strawberries are getting ripe, and the sweet scent makes one almost drooly. Strawberries are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C that higher than the apples and pears; also contains glucose, fructose, citric acid, carotene, riboflavin and so on. These nutrients may help with children’s growth, and are very useful to promote the health of the elderly. Particularly rich in vitamin C, strawberries can prevent gum bleeding, promote wound healing and make the skin smooth and elastic.
In Europe, the strawberry enjoyed the reputation “Queen of Fruits”, and was used as health food for children and the elderly. In ancient China, medicine believes that a few fresh strawberries after a meal help with the digestion and appetite. Physician study from other countries shows that strawberries contain anti-cancer ingredients which can inhibit the growth of tumor cells.
Two tips for you when eating strawberries:
First, do not buy strawberries in deformity. The appearance of strawberries in normal growth is heart-shaped. When you see the big and protruding deformed strawberries and have a hollow in middle, they are often growing in the process of using hormones-abuse which may damage human health. Especially for pregnant women and children, they can not eat berries in deformity.
Second, you should wash and clean it drastically before eating, to prevent the pollution of soil and bacteria.
